Listen! Do you hear the beat? That is Bonanzle and the "Bonanzlers"(users of Bonanzle) Throwing a party! Bonanzle took the top honor of BEST eBay Alternative of 2008. This IS quite a feat, considering Bonanzle has only been up since mid 2008. This baby of the e-commerce world really knows how to rock the house, and with its own unique style is showing the old-timers just how it is done!

Check out what was posted on the Examiner by Auctionwally:

Bonanzle is Getting ALOT of Attention..Check out Mashable.com's Latest!

Bonanzle now has over 1 million items listed and really stirring up some attention! Mashable has posted the following:

"One of the fastest growing eBay alternatives just hit a major landmark and chances are you’ve never heard of them. Bonanzle, which combines an online marketplace with social media features, has now had one million items posted to their site - an impressive feat given it just launched late last year.
While eBay is
struggling to keep their footing, Bonanzle is...." Read more.

There are several comments left about this article and about Bonanzle...both good and bad. I left the following comment that I would like to share with you:

"Bonanzle's success is because of not only the dedication of Bill Harding and crew, but the grassroots get-the-word-out effort of the buyers and sellers on this site. To find a site with such enthusiastic users and a hands on and accessible founder and staff in a refreshing change in the e-commerce world that has grown so cold and in personable. Bonanzle's unique style...it's personality if you will....is what is going to make this site rise to the top. Congratulations to Bonanzle and all there on reaching the 1 million mark!"

I encourage everyone to check out Bonanzle and see for yourself what all the buzz is about.
And thank you , Jennifer Van Grove, for the great article on Bonanzle!

Howl with the Wolves....2wolves actually!

2Wolves Music and Audio is my other venture I am trying to get branded. Branding this has be easy in some aspects and a lot more difficult in others. 2Wolves Music and Audio is a DJ/Karaoke service my Husband and I started after providing the music and karaoke for just about everyone's party we have ever been to. After some upgrading of equipment and expansion of our already huge music library, we started to advertise and get our brand out there.

The 2wolves brand is a simple one. The logo is as seen above. Two wolves howling the music...hence the tag line, "Come Howl With The Wolves". And as in Renagade's on Bonanzle, customer service is top priority. Great music, Best prices, and a "Howling" good time.

There are some others in the area that have the same service. So what is going to set 2Wolves apart from the rest of the pack? The 2Wolves Brand! You see the others are larger, have a couple of DJs and although you might talk to the owner to book them....they may or may not be the one you actually get on your big day. With 2Wolves Music and Audio, you meet with us, book with us, and WE are the ones that come out and DJ your event. Personalized service from start to finish. THAT is what will make 2Wolves the leader of the pack.

The competition is tough, but we are tougher. And by working on our Brand, we will do well. As I said before...branding is and ongoing process...and we are just getting started on branding the 2Wolves .
......listen........you can hear the howl!

Branding and the Renagade Brand

Branding. It might just be the most important thing and online seller can do to help promote their items and their store/website. After last weeks informative session of Brainstorming Bonanzle with Auctionwally and Phaedra of Attheboutique , I have given it much thought about the "Renagade" brand. I vowed to streamline my booth on Bonanzle, and get my brand out there on New Years. After losing my job, I almost got off course... thinking about listing all sorts of things and in turn, getting of course of my branding goal. Then it happened....I had some sales...all records..as if God was saying, "No you don't!..see your brand?" So I am back on course to establishing the Renagade.
First thing I did was a small change to the Avatar. After seeing others using it and needing one unique to the Renagade, I came up with the one you see now. Now, you will KNOW when you see the Renagade!
Then it was on to the booth. I did some revamping....taking all items that just didn't seem to "fit" and put them on sale in a special category. Some I even grouped together in big lots just to move them out. Started Listing a lot more records too, along with cassettes, scifi items, VHS Movies, Biker patches and other Harley items. The booth is really shaping up. Even started a Music Services Category, offering transfers of music, backups of CD&Gs discs, and DJ/Karaoke Service withing the NE Alabama Area through my other venture, 2Wolves Music and Audio! (MORE about those services soon!) Giving some thought to changing the banner too. It IS a nice one....but I feel I need something a little more "Renagade".
Next is my online presence. Trying to be more active, but at the same time being a little more selective. And I am trying to be true to me more. Like it or not, the Renagade can be somewhat of a cut up, as well as in depth and you can see that so much in the Brainstorming Bonanzle Chat notes.
Now, am I done? No ...you are NEVER done with Branding . It is and ongoing process, ever growing to shape out who you are and what you sell. How much thought and effort have YOU put into "Branding"?
That said....I have some more "Branding" to do!

The Economy...Well it SINKS! Branding is so important now!

The economy ....well it sinks. Many are on the unemployment line now, myself included. The hardest part was saying goodbye to the greatest group of guys I will ever know...the hard working steelworkers of Nucors Vulcraft of Fort Payne, Alabama. For almost 11 years I ran the breakroom there, filling vending machines and in those 11 years I have made many friends. I watched them come in dirty, sweaty, gave them change for a dollar bill that was too wet from sweat to use in the machines, told them if I had their favorite food in stock that day ( yes I could remember that Mike and Moe liked the sugarfree wafers, Shannon loved the sausage and cheese biscuits, and Carl had a thing for Crunch donuts) I have laughed at their jokes, pulled out splinters, bandaged fingers, and cried with them over the loss of love ones and friends. And I know all of them by name. And I miss them.
The Company I worked for changed due to a corporate deal and things went down hill. the food changed, the economy took a nose dive, causing Vulcrafts work to slow down, and sales slipped. Now, even after I personally cut my hours as much as I could, the vending company let me go. Like I said, the economy sinks.
Now more than ever, my online sales are important. I am listing everything I can, as fast as I can, hoping to build up the stock. Trying my best to keep inline the direction I am wanting to take Renagade's....music, biker, and SciFi items. Sure, I do have a "Everything Else" catagory, so you never know just what you might find at my booth! But I have a certain style, a certain BRAND, I want Renagade's on Bonanzle to have, and hope to be able to keep streamlining the booth towards the "Renagade" items and the "Renagade" "Brand"... But in the tough road I am facing now, you are liable to find anything and everything in my booth.
Tonight, on Talkshoe, Brainstorming Bonanzle is covering "Branding". I am looking forward to the show and hope if you dont get a chance to catch it live, you tune into the replay. (see links in sidebar here)
Let me wrap this up by again, telling ALL of the wonderful guys at Nucors Vulcraft of Fort Payne, Alabama ...I love you all and thank you...for the best 11 years of my life......
