The Selling Circus that is! The Selling Circus is a new podcast hosted by some old favorites in the pod casting world, Walt aka "Auction Wally" and Phaedra of "attheboutique" former hosts of Brainstorming Bonanzle.
Last week was the last episode of Brainstorming Bonanzle. Walt and Phaedra, after polling some of their loyal listeners, realized that many that sell on Bonanzle are multi venue sellers. So, with a new name, fresh new music and content, the Brainstorming Bonanzle show is now The Selling Circus. They say they will teach you how to brand yourself and sell like hell.
With the new format, they will be able to include tips that are more useful.....tips anyone in eCommerce can use, regardless of the venue or venues you sell on or what your product line is. The guests will be many, the information valuable, and the fun non stop.

eBay-Through the eyes of two very different sellers.

You may know him by AuctionWally, you may know him as Walt Kolenda, but after today the world will know him too. For today, Walt "Auctionwally" Kolenda is one of two sellers featured in the prestigious Wall Street Journal in and article titled "Auctions Fade As eBay Offers Wholesale Items At Fixed Prices."

The article focuses on two sellers, Mr Sheng of eForCity Corp, who describes his company as a "mini Wal-Mart" and Walt Kolenda, a professional antiques auctioneer and appraiser who focuses on quality, not quantity. The author, Geoffrey Fowler, does a wonderful job pointing out the shift the eBay has taken from "quirky flea market known for online auctions, and a shift to being more of a bargain basement offering fixed-price goods in bulk. "

Many people (myself included) feel eBay's changes have done nothing but drive the smaller sellers away from there to other venues such as Bonanzle and eCrater, and this article is one of the most complete analogies of this.

How do YOU Measure Success?

What makes someone a success? And how do you define it? Is it a dollar amount? Recogition? Happiness in doing what you do? Well to me I feel it is a combination of the three.
Being happy about what you are doing and proud of your accomplishments is truly important and my Bonanzle Booth, Renagade's is shaping up in ways I am truly proud of. And I am happiest when I am working on it, promoting my items and Bonanzle as a whole, or helping out someone who has a question about it. And through my work there my dollar amount in sales is picking up, which is what selling is all about.
But the biggest thing is RECOGNITION ...someone saying "Hey...you are doing great!" is, in all honesty, what everyone strives for....whether is taking care of the home front, an article you have written, work you have done whether its in the real world or online, humans crave that pat on the back. Well, I am amazed at the recognition I have received and going to receive lately.
First it is an thrill to welcome anyone who is reading this due to "The Morning Papers". I was awestruck to find out that this prestigious service has decided to follow this blog. I send out my deepest gratitude to them, and encourage anyone on Twitter to follow them for some of the best "breaking news" online today.
Second, is another shocker of recognition, I have been scheduled to be a guest on the podcast, "Brainstorming Bonanzle" on Monday February 16 at 8pm est (7pm cst) This podcast I have followed from the beginning, and they have had on some amazing "Heavy Hitters" in the world of Eccomerce Such as Mark Dorsey of Bonanzle, Henrietta of Red Ink Diary, Dave White of Ebayandbeyond, John Lawson, aka colderICE of Agents of Revenue to name just a few. And now...ME?!?! I am still trying to absorb this, and I am deeply, deeply honored for this opportunity that Auctionwally and his co-host Pheadra of attheboutique has given me here. I hope everyone will tune in to this show, not because I will be on, but because Walt and Pheadra do such a fantastic job at bring great information that everyone, not just Bonanzlers, can use.

Now, To continue along the "Recognition" line, Last weeks show of Brainstorming Bonanzle was about Discussion/Forum Boards. It was a VERY informative show anyone could use. I could go on and on about it, but Dede aka Brightest Blessings Has written a wonderful blog on it. Check out Brainstorming Bonanzle- Discussion I cant do any better than the way she put it!

Also, I have a group for Bonanzle "Lenses" on squdioo called Bonanzle!...Come Join the Fun! Where Bonanzlers can summit their lenses about their booth, their products and Bonanzle. Well today I came across a lens that is TRULY awesome! Mechelle of EyeCatchingBeauty has written a few lenses, all top notch, but the one entitled Charismatic Bill Harding & The Bonanzle Phenomenon Is over the top great! What makes YOU feel successful? I feel its Sales, Being happy doing your job, and recognition for your hard work...but I think Bill Harding, founder of Bonanzle said it best: when asked: What is your Dream Job? Bonanzle on TV - Fox News - You Tube !!!

Boy, Bonanzle is fast becoming a household word. Just in the last few weeks, Bonanzle has been featured on A Seattle news segment on King 5 , And wonderful spot with one of our own, AuctionWally, (Auctioneer, Collectible Specialist, and YES!, a Bonanzler!)- on Fox out of Boston.

Bonanzle has seen the number of new users soar to 11175 as of this posting! I must thank the stations for doing such a great job on the spots, and a special thanks to Auction Wally , who not only made sure to bring Bonanzle into that segment, but hosts the Talk Shoe show on Monday nights, Brainstorming Bonanzle! Lots of fun and wonderful info for any online seller!

Now, bonanzle is also making a hit on You Tube! A couple of sellers Becky and Oshun Spirit, have posted some GREAT videos on Bonanzle there, along with Bill Harding, the "Daddy" of Bonanzle, who shows you just how easy it is to list an item!

Auctionwally Interviews Bill Harding Of Bonanzle.com

This past Monday, Oct 27,2008, Auctionwally had a special hour and a half interview on Blogtalk radio with Bill Harding, the CEO of Bonanzle.com. It was very informative, with Bill explaining all the strong points of Bonanzle and just what makes this such a great site. Auctionwally took questions directly from the sellers on Bonanzle and put them to Bill, I must say the questions were good thoughtful questions and Bill did such a good job answering each one. There also was a nice sprinkle of the lighter questions too...such as "What is the Ghost's name" and "has any marrige proposals come off the site?"
Many of the sellers gathered in the chat room commenting on the answers, posting new questions and ejoying the show together. Wallys cohost Mitzi was superb at keeping the whole night fun and running smooth. They also took a couple of calls from some of the sellers, like Cindy of tree411 booth, who was a delight to listen to.
I could go on and on about the great job Auction Wally and Mitzi did....but it is something you really must hear for yourself, Got to Auctionwallys site for the complete transcript, show notes, and link to listen to the show.
